Antelope Valley 28, Palmdale 20--After a scoreless first half, Antelope Valley and Palmdale combined for 560 yards in the second half as the Antelopes (5-3, 3-0) held on at home.
Antelope Valley’s C.J. Fagan led all rushers with 139 yards and two touchdowns in 19 carries, and teammate Heath Renfro added 112 yards in 10 carries. Quarterback Bayi Hilton connected on all 10 of his passes for 182 yards and two touchdowns. Chris Tapia was on the receiving end of both scoring tosses, covering 29 and eight yards.
Palmdale (3-5, 1-2) was led by quarterback Terrence Zenno, who completed 17 of 30 passes for 219 yards and a touchdown. Zenno also led the Falcons in rushing with 85 yards in 13 carries. Al Corney caught seven passes for 117 yards and two touchdowns.
Corney’s first touchdown catch came after a botched field-goal attempt. Rocque Sandoval, the holder and a backup quarterback, completed the pass for 15 yards.
