Help for Employees Who Can’t Spell
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. — Think your boss expects you to work magic on the job? Not to worry, say office witches Zsuzsanna Budapest and Laurel Olson.
“Magic is common sense,†said Budapest, whose book, “The Goddess in the Office,†is set for March publication by Harper San Francisco. Budapest has identified the special qualities of the days of the week. She recommends taking it easy on Monday. Friday’s for the power lunch.
Olson, who works at an office equipment company in the Bay Area, got her start by blessing a cranky copier. She noted that the best of spells can’t replace regular maintenance.
Budapest has hexes to ward off sexual harassment. “This is one place where women can have power and nobody can detect it,†she said.
