Steve Greenberg, deputy baseball commissioner, said he is hopeful a timetable will be in place before Thursday’s game here for a decision on the two offers for the San Francisco Giants.
Greenberg said that the ownership committee is still waiting for more paperwork from the group trying to keep the Giants in the Bay Area.

Relief pitcher Jeff Reardon, stung by Ed Sprague’s game-winning homer in the ninth inning of Game 2, sat on the Atlanta bench before Game 3 and said: “I hope I get in there tonight and face the same guy.
