Arizona State Shuts Down Oregon State

TEMPE, Ariz. — Eric Guliford caught 10 passes for 131 yards and scored two touchdowns, and Jerone Davison added 157 yards rushing as Arizona State routed Oregon State, 40-13, Saturday night in a Pacific 10 Conference game.
Davison added a touchdown for Arizona State, 3-3 overall and 1-2 in the conference.
The Sun Devils stopped Oregon State’s wishbone offense in the first half, shutting out the Beavers (1-5-1, 0-3-1) until the last two minutes of the second quarter and taking an 18-7 halftime lead.
But Oregon State’s Chad Poulson scored on a four-yard run on the second play of the fourth quarter to cut Arizona State’s lead to 18-13 with 14:16 left to play.
But then the Sun Devils pulled away, as Guliford caught a 22-yard touchdown pass.
