PREP NOTES
Brian Batesole, a former assistant at Westminster High School, has been named boys’ varsity baseball coach at the school, Athletic Director Stan Clark said.
Batesole replaces Chris Sorce, who earlier resigned when he failed to earn a full-time teaching assignment in the district. Sorce had a 23-27 record in two seasons.
Batesole was an assistant at Westminster in 1986 and spent the past two seasons as the varsity coach at Loara, where he led the Saxons to a 17-33 record.
