Chicago Cub outfielder Andre Dawson, an eight-time All-Star, underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee. It was the fifth knee surgery of Dawson’s 16-year major league career. The 38-year-old right fielder will be eligible for free agency after the World Series.
