Candidates on TV: Cable’s Comedy Central will be joining ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, Cable News Network and C-SPAN in airing Tuesday’s Vice Presidential debate live at 4 p.m. The comedy network will be running simultaneous graphics over the candidates’ comments. . . . An hour-long infomercial with Ross Perot boosting his independent presidential campaign will preempt ABC’s “Covington Cross” between 8 and 9 p.m. on Saturday.
