CHATSWORTH : Woman, 70, Killed Crossing Street
A 70-year-old Chatsworth woman was killed Sunday night when she was struck by a car as she tried to cross Topanga Canyon Boulevard near Mayall Street, police said.
The woman, Jung Ja Park, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly before 9 p.m., a spokeswoman for the county coroner said.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the woman was not cited by police.
Police said the woman was crossing in the middle of the block where there is no crosswalk when she was hit by the car, which was traveling south within the speed limit.
