Wide receiver Sean LaChapelle needs two receptions to become UCLA’s receiving leader, replacing Mike Sherrard of the San Francisco 49ers. LaChapelle has 127 receptions. Also, LaChapelle, who has caught passes for 1,909 yards, needs 115 yards to break Flipper Anderson’s mark of 2,023.

ABC will televise the UCLA-Washington State game from Pullman, Wash., on Oct. 17. The kickoff has been moved from 2 p.m. to noon to accommodate the network. . . . Rob Walker is the first UCLA quarterback to win his first two starts--in consecutive games--since Jeff Dankworth started and won the ninth and 10th games of the 1974 season. . . . Arizona Coach Dick Tomey was Terry Donahue’s first defensive coordinator in 1976. He and Donahue were assistants together at Kansas and UCLA. Arizona assistants Norm Anderson and Johnnie Lynn are former UCLA players.
