LAKE LOS ANGELES : NASA Specialists Will Teach Students
Engineers and aerospace specialists from NASA’s Dryden Flight Research Facility will teach, counsel and encourage students at an Antelope Valley elementary school under a new adopt-a-school partnership program.
NASA officials from the facility at Edwards Air Force Base north of Lancaster plan to hold a public ceremony marking the inauguration of the partnership Thursday morning at the 630-student Lake Los Angeles Elementary School in the Lake Los Angeles area.
“We’re thrilled about this unique partnership with NASA, and we are confident it will help enrich the learning process of every student,†said Principal Catherine Sorenson. NASA will be represented by the flight research facility’s director, Kenneth Szalai.
