MIS-FORTUNE: Advance Logic Research of Irvine is...

MIS-FORTUNE: Advance Logic Research of Irvine is the nation’s 40th-fastest-growing company, according to the latest issue of Fortune. But other recent news has been less rosy for the personal-computer maker and its investors. . . . Last week, company officials said PC price wars sent Advance Logic’s revenues plummeting and it will report a loss for this quarter. . . . On Monday, the company’s stock price closed at $4 a share, an all-time low.

Helene Elliott

Helene Elliott was with the Los Angeles Times’ Sports department from 1989 to 2024, first as a staff writer and then, starting in 2006, as a columnist.
