Jefferson 33, Roosevelt 14--After forfeiting its first game of the season for lack of eligible players, Jefferson rebounded in its Southeastern Conference opener by defeating host Roosevelt.
Jefferson running back Isaac Hatley dominated the game with 114 yards and three touchdowns in 31 carries. Democrat quarterback Marcus Johnson added to the offensive attack with touchdown runs of 11 and two yards.
