Agoura Forfeits Football Victory

Agoura High has forfeited its nonleague football victory over Santa Clara, a 34-0 season-opening win, because it used an ineligible player, the school announced Thursday.
Athletic Director John Crow, citing an administrative error, took the blame. The player, a senior whom Crow would not name, was held out of Agoura’s 28-13 upset of Buena last week.
The player could regain eligibility pending a Southern Section review, Crow said.
