COUNTYWIDE : Man Indicted Over 2 Bank Robberies
A federal grand jury in Los Angeles has indicted a Fillmore man on two counts of bank robbery, an official said Thursday.
The panel this week indicted Oscar Ramon Cervantes, 26, on charges that he robbed banks in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties in November, 1991, said Assistant U. S. Atty. Rob Villeza.
Cervantes was apprehended after employees of the banks provided detailed descriptions, Villeza said. He is charged with robbing the Great Western Bank on Ponderosa Drive in Camarillo on Nov. 12 and the City Commerce Bank on Hollister Avenue in Santa Barbara on Nov. 22.
