SAN DIEGO : Firefighters Rescue Victim of Steep Fall
Firefighters rescued a minor who fell 75 feet from Sunset Cliffs early Thursday, the Fire Department said.
The victim was taken by Life Flight to UC San Diego Medical Center and listed in good condition Thursday afternoon. Because of the victim’s age, an identity was not released, a hospital spokeswoman said.
About 1:35 a.m., firefighters received a call that someone had fallen from a cliff at Ladera Street and Sunset Cliffs Boulevard, a Fire Department spokesman said. Fifteen firefighters labored about an hour to bring the victim to safety.
It was not immediately known how the minor fell from the cliff behind Point Loma Nazarene College to a beach below, the spokesman said.
