After losing two yards the first time he touched the ball on a screen pass, Chrishon went on to have an outstanding game as Saddleback beat Southwestern, 48-0, Saturday. He rushed for 237 yards and scored four touchdowns in 14 carries.
His first touchdown came on a run of 90 yards, the longest running play in Saddleback history. Chrishon also scored on runs of 67, one and six yards. It was also the third consecutive game in which he has scored four touchdowns. Chrishon has scored 27 touchdowns at Saddleback, four short of the college’s career mark of 31 set by Toby Whipple (1969-70).
Other top performers:
Orange Coast linebacker Dwight Chornomud, who was in on 16 tackles and forced a fumble in the Pirates’ 13-2 loss to Mt. San Antonio.
Orange Coast’s Darin Rabb, who was fifth overall but the first Orange County runner to finish at the Orange Empire Conference cross-county meet at Irvine Regional Park. His time was 20 minutes 45 seconds.
