Bishop Inc. Sells Assets of Design Products Division
Bishop Inc., a Westlake Village supplier of engineering design products and systems, said it has sold “substantially all†the assets of its design products division to Chartpak Inc. a California corporation whose principal offices are in Leeds, Mass. Terms were not disclosed.
The design products division makes adhesive-backed tapes and forms and related tools for the manual design of printed circuit boards. Bishop President James R. Schwartz said these products now account for less than 15% of Bishop’s total revenues because manually designed boards have been replaced during the past several years by boards made with computer-aided design techniques.
