Paraclete 23, St. Genevieve 0--Paraclete junior running back Michael Kendrick rushed for 120 yards in 10 carries and opened the offense with an 87-yard scoring run on the first play from scrimmage to lead visiting Paraclete over the host Valiants at Birmingham High.
Paraclete quarterback Brian Lathrop completed a 10-yard scoring pass to receiver Ruben Rodriquez for a 14-0 lead with 1:32 left in the half.
Lathrop completed eight of 11 for 109 yards, while the Valiants accumulated 161 yards in total offense.
Kicker/receiver Andy Ward added a five-yard touchdown reception and three extra points.
