The City Council will spend the weekend at a retreat with a Los Angeles management consultant learning how to run the city more efficiently.
The retreat will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to noon Sunday at Cal Poly Pomona University. It is open to the public.
Consultant Fred Kalmus will meet with each council member, the mayor and the city manager during the next three days to better understand their individual outlooks and prepare exercises to help improve their communication skills.
