Howard G. Merowit has been appointed director of marketing for Olympus Image Systems Inc., part of the Olympus Optical group of high-technology companies based in Irvine. His responsibilities include product marketing, marketing communications and distribution channel support for the company’s electron imaging printers. Before joining Olympus, Merowit was director of marketing communications at McDonnell Douglas Information Systems Co. in Newport Beach. He has also held marketing and sales management positions at MSI Data Corp. in Irvine, at NCR and at Xerox Corp.
