GOP Bashing of Hillary Clinton

Republican Chairman Rich Bond and right-wing candidate Pat Buchanan have ridiculed Hillary Clinton’s family values and support for children’s rights in a belittling fashion. Again, the party asking us for “trust” expects us to read dishonest lips. Mrs. Clinton has never made any statement that could be construed as giving children the right to sue parents for trivial, mundane disagreements such as cleaning their rooms or doing routine chores, as the Republicans have mockingly claimed. She has supported the right of children to sue parents for serious wrongs such as gross physical abuse, sexual abuse and rape or incest by parents. Who would dispute such a right?

When it comes to “family values,” as with their handling of the economy, Republicans favor the strong and powerful while Democrats support the weak and powerless.
