Making Their Point: The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Empoyees (IATSE) plans to continue picketing tonight at the Los Angeles County-owned John Anson Ford Ampitheatre where the Long Beach Opera production of “Bluebeard” is playing. A spokesman for Local 33 of the stage workers’ union says the county has broken a “gentleman’s agreement” that any commercial venture at the Ford would include union workers. The picketing is described as just a protest, and opera goers and performers are not being asked to stay outside.
