PALMDALE : Body of Slain Man Found by Mother
The body of a 31-year-old Palmdale man who had been killed was discovered Monday by his mother when she went to check on him after he failed to report to work at his family’s business, authorities said.
Kenneth Chmielewski’s body was found in his residence in the 37800 block of Silk Tree Lane, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. Robert Stoneman said. Chmielewski worked at his family’s business in the San Fernando Valley, Stoneman said.
Authorities would not say how Chmielewski died. Stoneman said, “There’s some evidence for them to handle it as a murder.â€
There were no signs of forced entry into Chmielewski’s home, Stoneman said. He was last seen alive Sunday evening. No arrests had been made, Stoneman said.
