Turn Down Sammis Plan

Sammis--The process is working, almost. Herb Warneke’s recent statement that the goals developed by his 42-member committee are in direct conflict with the Sammis proposal needs to be acted on. The Sammis proposal needs to be dealt with by a veto from the Camarillo City Council.
We are not in desperate need of new parks (we’ve currently got too many unused now) and our school board does not need to be heaped with additional financial burdens. And believe me, the homeowners are not seeking an additional $50- to $100-per-month tax payment.
The process of forming a goals committee, letting them reflect the vision of the community and then accepting their request is true community spirit. Now complete the process and reject the Sammis proposal.
