Filling a Void: With the demise of two banks in San Clemente and one in nearby Mission Viejo over the past year, Liberty’s executives saw a chance to capture part of the market for small companies. It opened a regional office in neighboring Dana Point last month.
Liberty, a consistently profitable bank, boasts one of the nation’s 10 largest operations providing commercial loans guaranteed by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
