SAN DIEGO : Man, 51, Struck and Killed by Car
A 51-year-old pedestrian was killed early Saturday by a hit-and-run driver as he crossed a San Diego street, police said.
The victim, identified as Jose Margarito Lopez Campos, of Boston Avenue in San Diego, was struck about 2:20 a.m. as he walked north in the 6100 block of Imperial Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are looking for the driver of a car traveling west on the street. They described the suspect’s vehicle only as a mid-sized car, probably of American make.
