Expansion of FHP’s Medicare Zone Approved
FHP Inc. has received federal approval to expand its Medicare service area into Hemet, Victorville, Apple Valley, Simi Valley as well as eight cities in San Diego County, the company said Thursday.
The Fountain Valley-based health-care and insurance provider, which has 715,000 customers, will now be able to market its Senior Plan to nearly every Medicare beneficiary in Southern California. New members will be served by FHP’s existing network of physicians and community hospitals.
In San Diego County, FHP will add the cities of Del Mar, La Jolla, Vista, Carlsbad, Oceanside, Encinitas, Chula Vista and National City.
