On the Air: KFI radio said Thursday that former LAPD police chief Daryl Gates is scheduled to host one of the station’s live call-in shows next week. Gates is set to fill in Wednesday through next Friday from 7-9 p.m. for KFI’s Barbara Whitesides, who will be on vacation. Gates can choose his own topics and guests.
