When Perot decided to hang it up (a smart decision), why didn’t he just announce his financial program to get us out of debt.
To get out of this mess, we, the taxpayers must suffer pain. Bush and Clinton can’t and won’t say it. Look what happened to Walter Mondale. They hooted at Jimmy Carter when he spoke of our malaise. Now it’s politically correct to talk of malaise.
Someone had better level with the American people. Perot was ready to do so and he aborted. ALEXANDER M. LOGAN
