Lawrence Shubert Lawrence Jr., 76, who once presided over the Shubert Theater Enterprises chain of Broadway playhouses. Lawrence was the grandnephew of the three Shubert brothers, Sam, Lee and Jacob, who founded the empire at the turn of the century. The group ran 17 Broadway theaters, including the Majestic, Broadhurst, Shubert and Winter Garden. In Boca Raton, Fla., on July 18 of cancer.
