Founders Hall Series Is Set

COSTA MESA — Four groups will play during 1992-93 Founders Hall Chamber Music Series at the Orange County Performing Arts Center. Each program will begin at 4 p.m. The series:
* Oct. 4: the Vermeer String Quartet, playing Schubert’s Quartet No. 12, Gyorgy Ligeti’s Quartet No. 1 and Mendelssohn’s Quartet No. 5.
* Nov. 8: the Trio Fontenay from Germany, playing Haydn’s “Gypsy” Trio, Brahms’ Trio in A and Dvorak’s Trio in G minor.
* Jan. 10, 1993: the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra Winds, playing Beethoven’s Octet, Samuel Barber’s “Summer Music” and Dvorak’s Serenade in D minor.
* March 21: the Brodsky String Quartet from Great Britain, playing Schumann’s Quartet in A, Beethoven’s Quartet No. 6 and Shostakovich’s Quartet No. 8.
Series tickets cost $72 ($40 for students). Tickets to individual concerts, $20, will go on sale six weeks before each program. Information: (714) 556-2787.
