Facing the Music: Guns N’ Roses lead singer W. Axl Rose is scheduled to turn himself over to St. Louis County authorities today to face misdemeanor charges. He was arrested Sunday at New York’s JFK Airport as he entered the country from Paris and was released later that day on $100,000 bail. The case involves charges stemming from an incident at the end of one of the band’s concerts near St. Louis last July. Rose already had planned to voluntarily turn himself in, according to his manager. GNR is scheduled to kick off a 25-concert tour with Metallica Friday in Washington, but Rose’s manager expressed confidence that the assault charges “can be resolved quickly so there is no risk to the tour.” The tour plays the Rose Bowl on Aug. 22.
