“Awareness,†an art sale/music program Saturday at the Caged Chameleon Art Shop and Gallery in Santa Ana, raised $275 for the AIDS Response Program of Orange County and the Mariposa Women’s Center. Half of all future proceeds from the gallery’s current exhibit of local artists’ work will be donated to a county charity of the buyer’s choice. The exhibit continues through July 19. (714) 836-5137.
The Orange County High School of the Arts has been awarded a $10,000 grant from GTE California to support a program through which students will work with professional artists, including members of the Joffrey Ballet and the Long Beach Symphony.
