Horror Over Gun Deaths

It was refreshing to see the straw issue of gun control discussed in a rational and meaningful manner by Schulman. The fallacies of the “gun grabbers” arguments were investigated thoroughly and shown to be fraudulent attempts at deception.
Society has nothing to fear from the law-abiding citizen who exercises his or her constitutional right to maintain the means of self-defense, and needs to concentrate its energies on those on the other side of law and order. Instead, however, misguided and ill-motivated legislators constantly pen legislation that infringe, and in many cases sever the rights of the law-abiding--while doing nothing to combat crime--despite the abundant proof that “gun control” is counterproductive.
If there was indeed a “wake-up call” in the L.A. riots, it was to call attention to the fact that maintenance of the means of self-defense has never been more important in this country than it is today, and that waiting periods and other infringements on the rights of law-abiding citizens are egregious, wrong-minded and potentially disastrous.
