A phony bomb was discovered Monday at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys, hospital officials said.
The hospital, at 15102 Vanowen St., received a telephone bomb threat about 2:30 p.m., said Steve Sibilsky, hospital public relations director. Los Angeles police officers found a fake explosive device in a building used for classes and offices set apart from the main hospital.
About a dozen people were evacuated during the investigation, Sibilsky said.
