World champion cyclist Gianni Bugno of Italy won the fourth leg of the Tour of Switzerland at Schaffhausen, and his countryman Giorgio Furlan held to his overall lead.
Bugno was timed in 42 minutes 55 seconds for the 19.7-mile run against the clock.
American Greg LeMond finished fifth, 36 seconds behind the leader. The three-time Tour de France winner improved his overall standing from 15th to fifth.
