Buena Park Man Killed in Car Crash
ANAHEIM — A 50-year-old stockbroker died Saturday after his car slammed into an abutment near a heavily traveled interchange of the Riverside Freeway, throwing him from the vehicle.
Glenn Richard Dicely of Buena Park was pronounced dead at UCI Medical Center in Orange, shortly after the crash, a California Highway Patrol spokeswoman said.
The accident occurred as Dicely apparently was trying to enter the northbound interchange to the Orange Freeway.
The Buena Park man was driving in the fast lane, but the spokeswoman said investigators did not know how fast he was traveling before he decided to brake suddenly.
After his car struck the abutment, it flipped over, landed on a concrete culvert, and then struck a light pole. Dicely, who was not wearing his seat belt, was thrown through the windshield.
