THE LAST WORD: Details magazine’s new July issue focuses completely on the music world, with Red Hot Chili Pepper’s Anthony Kiedis and Deee-Lite’s Lady Miss Kier on the cover and a vast variety of features inside. Among the highlights: anecdotal looks back at L.A.’s early-’80s glam-rock scene and Memphis’ soul-rock heydays, a history of the techno explosion and various fashion and lifestyle tips (including controversial Ice-T on how to pick up women).
And editor-in-chief James Truman compiled statistics from various research sources to put together an amusing profile of pop music fanship. Some examples:
