Going for the Gold: “The Lady in Waiting,” a film by Christian M. Taylor of New York University, won the gold medal in the dramatic film category at the Student Academy Awards sponsored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater Sunday night. Robert Beebe of UCLA won the experimental film category for his “In the Aquarium.” Peter H. Docter of CalArts took the gold in the animation category for “Next Door.” In the documentary category, Wendy Weinberg of Temple University received a gold for “Beyond Imagining: Margaret Anderson and the Little Review.”
