Ratings Race: Undeclared presidential candidate Ross Perot won the battle of “Today” show ratings over Democrat Bill Clinton, NBC reported. National ratings won’t be available until later this week, but projecting from the overnight numbers available in 25 major cities, the first hour of Perot’s appearance on NBC’s “Today” show last Thursday attracted an audience of about 5.2 million homes, compared to the 3.8 million that tuned in for Clinton’s appearance Tuesday. Both Perot and Clinton fielded calls from viewers.
