Judge Karlin’s Reelection
With the recent negative comments about Judge Karlin, I think it’s about time for someone to offer something positive about her. I admire anyone who has the courage to stand up for his or her convictions, knowing fully well that they will be received with hostility by some in the community.
In fact, isn’t the reason she has been bad-mouthed so much because some in the black community didn’t get exactly what they wanted?
I find Judge Karlin to be a very literate, sensitive and caring individual, and I for one am glad that she is part of our judicial system. I will always believe that the fact that she did so well in the recent elections reflects the approval of the majority of the people in Los Angeles.
