They Need to See the Light

A recluse tried to blind local pilots by reflecting sunlight with a mirror (Times Valley Edition, April 23).

We understand this guy is upset with nearby airport noise. But whether using a bomb, a gun, a knife or a mirror, the consequences can be equally deadly. This crime is indefensible at best, heinous at worst.

A North Hollywood resident, Baylis Glascock, agitated over perceived Burbank Airport noise, inquires about a defense fund for this perpetrator (Letters to the editor, Times Valley Edition, May 6).

I hope Glascock is never unlucky enough to be a passenger on a Burbank flight targeted by a mirror-wielding crazy. If he was, just maybe he would see the light. And I don’t mean the sunlight of a terrorist’s mirror.
