SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO : Trustee Honored for Community Service

Longtime Capistrano Unified School District Trustee Annette B. Gude was given the prestigious Athena Award by the South Orange County Alumnae Panhellenic at its annual awards luncheon.
The group recognizes women from the around the country who have contributed to their communities.
Gude has been a school trustee for 12 years, serving as president, vice president and clerk at various times.
She has also been active in several local organizations, including the South Orange County Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Orange County Traffic Committee and the Orange County Philharmonic Society.
To receive the award, a woman does not have to be a member of the numerous national sororities that make up the Panhellenic, but she must have lived in the area for more than 10 years and have been an active volunteer in her community.
