Angels’ Season Might Be Going About as It Should

Well, Gene, Jackie and Whitey, you’ve done it, achieved a smooth blend of young guys who stink (Stevens, Tingley, Gonzales, Polonia, etc.) with a bunch of aging veterans who stink (Hayes, Gaetti, Parrish, Brooks, Fitzgerald).

Try this: Get rid of the aging veterans who stink--yeah, just tell them goodby, nice knowing you. Then call up some more guys who stink but make hardly any money. Keep the young guys who stink, since they also don’t make much money and never will. But if one of them shows some promise, you can sell him and make a few bucks. That way Jackie will have enough to eat. Your 2 million easy-to-please fans will keep supporting you, as always.
