LOS ANGELES : King Reported Fearful, Living in ‘Safe House’
- Share via
Rodney G. King has become a carefully guarded commodity, tucked into a “safe house” and on antidepressants, while his family and others squabble over the selling of America’s famed victim, according to an article in the July issue of Vanity Fair.
King, fearful of danger if he ventures out of his hiding place in Ventura County, is isolated from efforts to capitalize on his story, the article says.
Attorney Steven Lerman, who is seeking a multimillion-dollar settlement for King from the city, says he is only safeguarding his client and preventing him from being used as “political fodder” for “somebody’s agenda.”
