State and federal officials announced a new disaster application center will open at the Downey Recreation Center to serve the Lincoln Heights area.
The center will be open for five days, Tuesday through next Saturday, at 1772 N. Spring St. Like the other centers throughout Los Angeles, the center will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The California Recreation Center in Long Beach will close its disaster application services at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
The toll-free hot line, (800) 525-0321, remains open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
