BREA : Woman Killed in Car Crash; Driver Held

A young woman was killed Monday morning as the car she was in spun off the road and struck several trees before coming to rest at an embankment, police said. The driver of the car was arrested on suspicion of felony drunk driving.
The accident occurred about 4 a.m., near the entrance of Carbon Canyon Regional Park.
The victim was in her late teens to early 20s. Police are withholding her name pending notification of relatives.
The driver of the car, Mark R. Arambula, 18, of Brea, suffered minor injuries and was treated at Brea Community Hospital.
