The federal government has sued a mail order company for allegedly defrauding hundreds of thousands of consumers by selling worthless sex potions, jewelry and get-rich-quick schemes.

The civil suit charges New York-based Finderhood Inc. and two of its principals with 38 fraudulent promotions, including sale of a “sex scent” guaranteed to seduce women.

The $32.90 fragrance “makes three out of four women give in,” the ad said. It included testimony from a woman who said she became a sex “slave” to a man wearing the scent.
