ACTON : Boy, 15, Found Dead in Swimming Pond
A 15-year-old boy apparently drowned in a swimming pond at an Acton camp, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said Monday.
A sheriff’s rescue team discovered the boy’s body Sunday in the swimming pond at the Robin’s Nest campground in the 8200 block of Soledad Canyon Road, Sgt. Mark Cleaves said.
Details of circumstances surrounding the boy’s death were sketchy but investigators were viewing it as an accident, Cleaves said.
The Los Angeles County coroner’s office identified the boy as Fredy Martir of Los Angeles.
