For the second consecutive year, Lan Wei of China won the 3-meter springboard event with 683.68 points in the Alamo International, a prelude to the Summer Olympics, at Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Kent Ferguson (666) beat out Scott Donie (653.37) for second.
In the women’s platform finals, Maria Jose Alcala of Mexico held off 13-year-old Jenny Keim of Plantation, Fla., 417.42-411.09.
